Fire Chief Jack Reed
Jack Reed is the Fire Chief for The City of Marion. Jack has over 30 years of experience with The Marion Fire Department. He was hired by the city as a firefighter in July of 1980, and was promoted to Captain in 1987. Promoted to Assistant Chief in March of 2005, and Fire Chief in June of 2009.
 
Jack holds a BOT/BA from Western Illinois University majoring in Fire Service Administration/Human Resource Management. He also holds Certified Fire Officer I and Arson Investigator certifications.  He was an Illinois Fire Chief's Association Scholarship recipient in 2000. Jack is also member of The Illinois Fire Chief's Association and is an IFCA area 11 Representative.
 
Jack is married to Christy and his family includes Brian Reed, Marc Henshaw & wife Shay, and Nickie Sylvester & husband Phil. Jack also has five grandchildren, Collin Branson, Katy Branson, Easton Branson, Kyler Henshaw, and Kyana Henshaw.
